April and June were busy months for me. Two HD spots produced, shot and edited. For this one, the second for Vivid/Modus, Nicki “the MACHINE” Polanco served as the intimidating talent.

We shot both spots on Panasonics amazing HVX-200, using a RedRock Micro M2 35mm adapter. The M2 coupled with the HVX gave us beautiful depth of field, contrast, and the softness of 35mm film. However, the M2 is a serious light hog…In broad daylight, we couldn’t get past F3.5. Good for us though, since my ol gran pappy had some REALLY fast old school lenses. Shooting mostly on an 55mm F1.2, it was a bit tough to keep a wide focal field, especially for an action packed & mobile “guerilla” style production. No fear though, The production consisted of a fully functioning, completely decked out, custom golf cart with a full steadi cam rig on it.
